DME/HME reporting — frequently asked questions

What Power BI reports does a DME/HME supplier need?

The set that covers the business end to end is denials & rejection root-cause (why are claims denied and what's avoidable), AR aging & held/unbilled revenue (what's stuck and where), CPAP/PAP resupply conversion (are eligible patients reordering), order fulfillment & delivery (are setups on time and clean), net reimbursement per item/setup and payer mix (who pays you, how much, and how fast), and inventory turns & rental-vs-purchase mix. Each is available here as a template you can clone.

Do these work with Brightree, NikoHealth, or Bonafide data?

Yes. You export your data from whatever billing/intake platform you run — Brightree, NikoHealth, Bonafide, TeamDME, Fastrack, WellSky DME, or Computers Unlimited (TIMS) — and the template models it into a Power BI report. It's built as a Brightree alternative for reporting specifically: the samples here use synthetic data so you can see the finished shape before bringing your own export.

Is any real patient or claim data used in these templates?

No. Every report on these pages is built from realistic but entirely synthetic data — generic payers, anonymized patient and claim IDs, standard HCPCS groups. There is no PHI. When you build your own version, you bring your own export.

How do I turn one of these into my own report?

Click 'Use this as a template' on any report. You describe the report (or upload your own CSV export from Brightree, NikoHealth, or another platform), we read and model the data, and you get a fully built Power BI project — a .pbip you open in Power BI Desktop — back in minutes.
