Urgent care reporting — frequently asked questions

What Power BI reports does an urgent care center need?

The set that covers the business end to end is throughput and visit volume (are we matching staffing to demand), wait times and door-to-door performance (are we keeping the <45-minute promise), revenue cycle and net reimbursement (are we collecting what we earn per visit), payer and service mix (is our commercial and occ-med mix holding), provider productivity (visits and RVUs per hour), and a multi-site executive scorecard (how does every center rank). Each is available here as a template you can clone.

Do these work with Experity, eClinicalWorks, or athenahealth data?

Yes. You export your data from whatever EMR/PM you run — Experity (DocuTAP / Practice Velocity), eClinicalWorks, or athenahealth — plus arrival data from Solv or Clockwise.MD and remittance detail from Waystar 835s, and the template models it into a Power BI report. The samples here use synthetic data so you can see the finished shape before bringing your own.

Is any real patient or financial data used in these templates?

No. Every report on these pages is built from realistic but entirely synthetic data — anonymized centers, generic payers, standard E&M codes, made-up dollar amounts. There is no PHI and no real claims data. When you build your own version, you bring your own export.

How do I turn one of these into my own report?

Click 'Use this as a template' on any report. You'll describe the report (or upload your own CSV export), we read and model the data, and you get a fully built Power BI project — a .pbip you open in Power BI Desktop — back in minutes.
