Pet care facilities reporting — frequently asked questions
What Power BI reports does a pet boarding and grooming facility need?
The core set covers the business end to end: kennel and run occupancy (how full is the building, and where is empty capacity bleeding revenue), RevPAR and ADR yield per pet-night (what each run actually earns, sold or empty), groomer productivity and service mix (how fully each chair is booked and what it yields), add-on attach and average ticket (is the front desk upselling), collections and deposit capture (are we getting paid), client retention (who comes back), and a multi-site owner scorecard tying every pillar together. Each is available here as a template you can clone.
Do these work with Gingr, PetExec, Revelation Pets, DaySmart Pet or Kennel Connection data?
Yes. You export your data from whatever booking and operations system you run — Gingr, PetExec, Revelation Pets, DaySmart Pet (123Pet), Kennel Connection, or spreadsheets — and the template models it into a Power BI report. The samples here use synthetic data so you can see the finished shape before bringing your own.
Is any real client, pet, or financial data used in these templates?
No. Every report on these pages is built from realistic but entirely synthetic data — generic 'Location 01/02/03' sites, anonymized groomers and agents, made-up runs and tickets. There are no real client, pet, or financial records. When you build your own version, you bring your own export.
How do I turn one of these into my own report?
Click 'Use this as a template' on any report. You'll describe the report (or upload your own CSV export from your booking software), we read and model the data, and you get a fully built Power BI project — a .pbip you open in Power BI Desktop — back in minutes.
